Carla Cuglietta is an educational consultant, keynote speaker, and humanitarian. She has been involved in global projects in Mexico, El Salvador, Costa Rica, China, Laos, India, Sierra Leone, and Uganda. 
Carla is the Executive Director and Co-founder of YoungLeaders.World, an international non-profit organization whose aim is to engage young people for personal growth and collective good.  To date, YL.W has trained over 11,000 youth worldwide in the area of leadership and engagement.Carla has been an educator for fifteen years and has most recently been involved in curriculum redesigns related to 21st-century learning, as well as projects aimed at educational transformation. From working to secure clean drinking water and micro-finance loans for women in Indian villages, to working on teacher training in Sierra Leone that promotes peaceful and equitable practices, Carla’s wide-ranging experiences continue to push her to apply global learning in local contexts.

Carla has worked as a consultant in Sierra Leone, Uganda, China, and Canada. She has received the University of Alberta Alumni Honour Award, the Prime Minister’s Teaching Achievement Award, and the Me to We Educators Award for her work in engaging Canadian youth, as well as the YWCA Women of Vision Award, the Lions Club Melvin Jones Award, for her international humanitarian work.
