Carla Cuglietta is an international education consultant, having been involved in global projects in Mexico, El Salvador, Costa Rica, China, Laos, India, Sierra Leone and Uganda. She is co-founder YoungLeaders.World, a Global Youth Leadership non-profit that works with thousands of youth around the world, encouraging young people to use their skills and talents to meet the needs of the world.

Carla has been an educator for fifteen years and has most recently been involved in curriculum redesigns related to 21st century learning, as well as projects aimed at educational transformation. From working to secure clean drinking water and micro-finance loans for women in Indian villages, to working on teacher training in Sierra Leone that promotes peaceful and equitable practices, Carla’s wide-ranging experiences continue to push her to apply global learning in local contexts.

Carla has worked as a consultant in Sierra Leone, Uganda, China and Canada. She has received the University of Alberta Alumni Honour Award, the Prime Minister’s Teaching Achievement Award, the YWCA Women of Vision Award, the Lions Club Melvin Jones Award, and the Me to We Educator Award.
