The Leadership Essentials Program

25 hour program

This program covers the essentials of developing leadership skills, competencies and a way to understand leadership as a mindset as well as a title. The program is broken down into 3 main phases; leading yourself, leading others, leading change.

Through Leading Yourself, participants will: 

  • develop greater self-awareness through the EQi Assessment or the Integrative Enneagram™ with our certified facilitators.
  • learn the leadership framework; vision, values, strengths, barriers and mission; and
  • understand mental models around leadership and competencies of a good leader.

 

Through Leading Others, participants will: 

  • learn practical and effective communication skills to lead your team, increase engagement and have difficult conversations for growth;
  • increase confidence in giving and receiving feedback;
  • understand unconscious bias and assumptions, and how they can show up negatively in the workplace;
  • learn about trust and dynamics of building great teams; and
  • discover practices that increase team engagement for all team members.

 

Through Leading Change, participants will: 

  • learn about stakeholder mapping and engagement;
  • learn communication skills required for change management; then
  • practice a change management roll out with an upcoming technology or system change in your organization.

 

Program time and delivery:

  • Customizable for ½ day or full day delivery to fullfill 25 hour program time
  • In-person or online delivery to suit the needs of your organization

The Executive Leadership Program

The Executive Leadership Program

Program length: 24-28 hours

This program is designed for people who are already in leadership positions in organizations. Explore yourself as a leader, understand your style, strengths, blindspots and areas for growth in your leadership journey.

Through the Executive Leadership Program participants will:

  • understand the leadership framework and mindset by exploring personal and organizational; vision, values, strengths, barriers and mission;
  • understand the difference between leadership, strategy, management and performance
  • explore transactional vs. transformational leadership styles;
  • improve your emotional intelligence using the EQi Assessment OR the Integrative Enneagram™ with certified practitioners to understand your strengths and blindspots and areas for growth;
  • understand what builds great teams and what breaks them apart;
  • recognize how trust within teams supports innovation, creativity and retention
  • understand the future of work and the 4 challenges that all organizations must face, how to lead yourself and your team through them;
  • discover ways to increase engagement on your teams, and think through relevancy in your industry;
  • discover how to work through environmental planning to guide your strategic planning and inform your innovation practices;
  • learn how to perform stakeholder mapping and engagement to lead change or innovation;
  • understand how to create cross functional teams and change management plans

 

EXTEND YOUR TEAM’S LEARNING THROUGH COACHING AND MENTORSHIP:

  • understand the differences between coaching and mentorship;
  • discover how to lead feedback and feed forward conversations;
  • learn the GROW coaching model;
  • team or personal coaching available;

The Leading Innovation Program

The Leading Innovation Program

(Program length: 12-25 hours)

This program is designed for people who are already in leadership positions in organizations. Explore innovative methods and strategies to engage and leverage organizational change capacity.

Through Leading Innovation participants will use lab style learning to address real organizational challenges by:

  • learning how to perform an environmental scan to assess areas for innovation;
  • understanding the future of work;
  • using the leadership framework to make decisions about change;
  • understanding how to roll out broad based organizational change;
  • discovering how to engage stakeholders through stakeholder mapping skills;
  • understanding how to use positive leverage and relationships for effective change roll out;
  • learning about Design Thinking – IDEO and The Stanford Innovator’s Mindset D-School Change Model;
  • learning how to lead through change initiatives by practicing with changement management models;
  • creating change readiness plan for a technology change in your organization; and
  • understanding how to create cross-functional teams for innovation, communication and change.

*This full 25 hour program qualifies for the Canada-Alberta Jobs Grant, covering ⅔ of the cost
